My lifelong passion for understanding how we think, feel, and connect with the world led me to study neuroscience — a journey that not only taught me how the brain works, but also helped me understand myself and others on a deeper level.

Now, I’m on a mission to bring brain science to kids in a way that’s fun, beautiful, and easy to understand. I combine my love of science with a playful, creative spirit to turn complex ideas into stories and illustrations that make learning feel like an adventure rather than a lesson.
My goal is simple: to give children the tools to better understand themselves and the world around them — because every young mind deserves to know just how powerful it really is.
Hi, my name is Ülkü, and I’m the storyteller behind the voices of YOUNIVERSE. My journey began with a fascination of how molecular pathways and experiences come together to shape our inner worlds, which ultimately led to a path in neuroscience research. Alongside science, I have a deep love for creative writing — it’s where knowledge and imagination meet, allowing stories to connect us in ways that facts alone cannot.

Music has always been a 'key' part of my life. It's hard to identify at what point the tide turned and made it a lifeline — my guess would be the endless childhood road trips accompanied by Vivaldi's The Four Seasons. I like to think that, beyond the skillfully executed compositions, it was the goosebumps and the sense of awe that roped me in. This captivation is proof of the brain’s magic — it's a prime example of how sound can lift us, soothe us, and connect us to something bigger than ourselves.

That same wonder is what I hope to bring into YOUNIVERSE: blending science and creativity to spark awe in young minds. I joined this project because I believe every child deserves to see the beauty inside their own brain.
